Crocs Make Me Croke!!!

Please, please, please... Let's get these hideous shoes off the market!!!... I do believe these shoes were invented for comfort for people who work on their feet for long hours. So why are there so many people walking around in these "things" (for lack of a more creative word) as an everyday, everywhere shoe??? And to my amazement, there are actually fanclubs of this autrocity of a shoe! The name is an insult to crocodiles everywhere. In fact, people who casually wear them should be eaten by the crocodile.(LOL)


Okay that was a bit much, but I just had to vent my frustration. Ladies and gentlemen, if you need an alternative comfort shoe to loaf around in, try some of these alternatives.

Okay, how come no one called me to let me know this travesty was going on??? Who told Vivica A. Fox that she was the fashion law??? I honestly can't remember anything this woman has worn that was noteworthy of earning the hostess gig as fashion Glam God; which is a new show on VH-1. The premise of the show has promising stylists compete for the coveted show title, as well as the chance to style a willing celebrity. Nevertheless, it's great entertainment for any fashionista!!!

If you are a bit hippie and/or short, these are not the trend for you...(Sorry, but it's my duty to keep you as a beauty. I know that was corny, but whatever!!LOL)

These pants keep you looking tall and slim when paired with a heel. Keep your look fresh with a cropped jacket. The pants look best when the jacket is of a different fabrication than the pants. A chunky boucle, or tweed would be perfect. Add a few strands of pearl(real or faux) and some simple earrings to finish this very Euro-look.

The Anti-Beyonce!!!

For those that know me, know I absolutely love Beyonce. However, Solange is slowly breaking free from being under her sisters' shadow. I love her ecclectic sense of fashion. She's a bit of rock-rebellion meets sexy-chic.

She is on her way to proving she can hold her own. Public response has been welcoming to her. I think people find her to be more relatable than her uber-mega star sibling. However, don't count on Solange to be secondary in success compared to Bey. She has a new album that is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2008. The debut single, I Decided, is brought to life by the video, which shows off her unique creative vision. Animal Print 101

Okay ladies, it's been a few days but I'm back! Today, I have on a pair of pony-hair, animal print pumps that have a red three-inch heel; and a red ruched dress. A friend of mine is wearing an animal print skirt with black pumps. (No this was not planned; we are not planning to form a singing group...LOL) So as we were walking around the office this morning, a few on-lookers gave their opinions and stated we needed to switch shoes... This inspired me to make a note on the correct way to wear an animal print(or any major print). The most important rule to remember is...less is always more! Only wear one print at a time. Never, never, never wear an animal print shoe, and an animal print skirt(pants), purse, etc at the same time. Some of you out there seem to get excited when you find you have an animal piece that may match another animal print item in your wardrobe. Well, please calm yourself down. Show it off one outfit at a time. Animal print(or any print for that matter) should be worn as a highlight to create a little drama in your outfit. Keep it simple!

Do wear an animal print dress with simple accessories!!!

Don't wear an animal print jacket and shoes at the same time; one or the other please!!!

Do limit your animal print accessories to one at a time. Don't wear an animal print shoe, purse, and/or belt at the same time!

This comes right on the heels of Mr. Combs welcoming Dawn Robertson as the new president. Dawn is the former president of the troubled Old Navy.
