M-B FASHION WEEK... Day Four
Carolina Herrera
The collections on Monday gave way to an exciting sight to start the week! The most anticipated collections came from Carolina Herrera, Peter Som, and Jill Stuart. Herrera did not disappoint. Her collection featured her trademark sophisticated, elegance. Her designs, as usual, were classic, and tailored to enhance a womans' silhouette.
I had high expectations from Peter Som; who let me down with his playful, youthesque designs. His collection seemed to lack a consistent theme and originality. It featured short linen rompers, baby doll bustier dresses, and simple butterfly blouses. The color pallete varied from neutral nudes to bright lights.
Peter Som
Jill Stuart lifted me from the disappointment over Som's collection. She gave very angellic; yet sexy and daring looks for the season. Her color pallete was nude including grey and dusty rose. Her fabrics were all soft and flowy. The perfect answer to resort wear for Spring 2009.
Jill Stuart
Tommorrow promises to bring out some fashion heavyweights. Meet me here same time, same place; where I'll showcase THEE Monique Lhuillier, Betsey Johnson, Vivien Tam, and Max Azria!!! Meanwhile, happy shopping!!!
