Well, Ms. Fields has replicated the it accessory for the masses. Available on her own website for $120.00

Kitson LA also has their own version. They sold out of the actual "look-alike" and now have the metal buckled version for $195.00

Fashion Role Model

I must say that I'm so glad to see, slowly, but surely, the days of the saggy jeans and Tims fading away. It's been a long time coming, but Neyo's album title says it best: this is "The Year of The Gentleman". Now don't get me wrong, clothing does not make a man a gentleman, but damn, it sure does help with his swagger. Hip-hop has such a big influence on today's fashion for the youth, so let's thank Diddy and Jay for making the suit sexy. I'm glad to see more rappers donning Purple Label suits, Japanese denim, sweater vests, and Gucci sneakers. Now, if we can get the ladies to cover up a bit more, we may be able to bring chivalry back.

With this said, I have to discuss my favorite male fashion role model. I love Fonzworth Bentley. (He's making light-skinned guys hottt again!!!LOL)Mr. Bentley, born Derek Watkins, really sets the example of how a modern gentleman should look. Thanks to him, Diddy advanced his swagger. Mr. Bentley has charisma, style, he's handsome, well-groomed, and can clearly articulate his point without saying, "You know what I mean?" He's best known as Diddy's personal assistant, but Fonzworth is quickly developing his own identity amongst the masses. Even though, I'm not really fond of his seemingly scripted G's to Gents reality show(I only watch to check out "The Bentley"), I can appreciate the idea of trying to broaden a man's perspective. Fonzworth has released a book, "Advance your Swagger", wherein he discusses how manners, style, and confidence can advance you in this game of life. He has been featured in several movies, commercials, and psa's. And now he is set to release his debut album C.O.L.O.U.R.S. (CoolOutrageousLoversOfUniquelyRawStyle). The single, which is available on iTunes, features Kanye and Andre 3000 called Everybody.

Mr. Bentley is definitely a man who is very confident in his own skin. He knows exactly who he is and is not afraid to be a gentleman in this age of wanna-be-gangstas and thugs. And with that said, always be true to yourself. We all have the potential to be fabulous!!! Happy Shopping!!!

Chanel Inquiry

A question was posed in a fashion group forum on Facebook: Where can I purchase Chanel apparel online? Those that know me, know that I am a die-hard Chanel fan. So I thought I should post my answer for everyone to know. Chanel is only available in Chanel Boutiques and very select department and specialty stores. It's not even available to purchase online from these select department/specialty stores and the Chanel website. Chanel cosmetics , fragrances and small accessories may be available online; but not apparel... Beware of Ebay sellers and such online sites. Be a wise consumer and invest in the real thing. (Yes, Chanel is an investment. It includes timeless pieces that can be passed down from one generation to the next!)You can go to the Chanel website and view the ready-to-wear and couture collections, then you can call and order desired items. But do not fall prey to online stores that claim to sell authentic Chanel clothing. It's not licensed to be sold online.

Visible Panty Lines

Okay ladies, I must discuss one of my biggest pet-peives: VPL(visible panty lines). There is no excuse for a modern woman to have her panties divide her bottom into four cheeks. This has got to be amazingly uncomfortable; and moreso very unflattering. First of all ladies, we must begin by purchasing the correct size in undergarments. Too small undies, cause bulges, discomfort, and defeats the overall purpose of an undie. Too large undies>>>well needless to say, will appear bulky and also cause bulges and discomfort. All undergarments should be comfortable(you should not have to pick and tug), flat,and second-skin-like; without being tight. It's always best to think of your undergarments as the foundation of your wardrobe. If you are a frugal spender; then this should be the one area that you invest in. Your less expensive items will look like a million bucks over the correct undergarment.

Okay, now that you have the undergarment awareness, let's start with the picture above. First, I must say, I hope this lady was working out, or coming from the gym, or doing some form of athletic activity because of the track pants. (That's another pet-peive I have when women wear jogging pants and their not jogging.) Nonetheless, with such pants she could have worn boy shorts(if she was working out) or a pair of thongs(if she was being casually lazy). The type pf panties that are worn depends on the outfit that will be worn over it. For slim-fitting trousers and skirts invest in some Spanx shapers. There are a vast array of choices, but I recommend Spanx because of the variety, sizes, comfort, and cleverness that goes into designing each piece.





So maybe we all can come together to end the tragic VPL crisis. Whenever you see it take place, just holla SPANX at the victim. You may get the evil stare, a few non-lady-like words,and/or perhaps a slap, but at least you'll know you did your part to help the world not have to look at her "cottage cheese", too-tight, butt-cutting panties. The next lady will thank-you!!! As always, happy shopping!!!

And keep the fabrication of the top soft and billowy. Always keep it simple! And ladies, remember, even though we all come in different sizes; these pants are only small (even size L is small)...(wink,wink!!!)
