What are Y.A.H.X???

I decided to re-post this from my original blog on my consulting website(www.cmichaelstyle.com) that was the shameless plug.))

What are YAHX??? (Pronounced– YAAHHCKS)

YAHX are the four letters that represent a woman’s basic body shape. Once you know (and accept) your body shape, you will be able to find clothing that best accentuates your unique figure.

Y– is the shape that symbolizes the woman that is blessed up top and slender below. She has what a lot of women pay for, and a lot of men admire. V-neck tops help to show off her assets. Do wear great supportive bras! For below, choose bottoms that are boot cut in pants, and flair in skirts and dresses. This will even out your figure and flatter what you are ever so proud of!!!

A– is the shape for the woman that possesses what I don’t: BOOTY and HIPS…(LOL) She is modest up top, but her hips and backside are the scene-stealers. Her shoulders are narrow compared to her hips. Jackets and tops that hit right below the waistline, but not past your hips are best to make your figure more proportionate. For below, opt for straight leg cut in pants and denim, and A-line in dresses and skirts.

H– is the shape for the woman that is parallel in proportion from her bust-to-waist-to-hips. She is blessed up top and below. She may have a longer torso than average, and an invisible waistline. V-necks and gathered waistlines are the most flattering up top. Boot cut and skinny jeans work well. A-line and flair dresses and skirts create an illusion of a waistline. Accent what you have, and minimize what you don’t want. Belt the waistline whenever possible.

X– is the shape that represents the woman that is proportionate in hips and bust. She looks best in fitted tops with boot cut trousers, or a billowy blouse with form fitting bottoms. Look for fit and flair for dresses and skirts. Tops and dresses with empire waists will add to your figure. Always try to keep it simple. You already have it “going on”, so there’s no need to play up more than one asset at a time. Never wear fitted tops and fitted bottoms at the same time!
